Another good example of what consistent work can do on an old boat like the Sheriff 600. Well done, Herman! |

The story about why the boat is named "Ome Kees": "Ome Kees" means Uncle Kees. He is an uncle of my wife's who managed to reduce the purchase price by 50% when I bought her in 1999. This was done using his knife edge negotiating technique on the previous owner. Since every self respecting yacht owner has to name his ship after her biggest sponsor, that's why her name is "Ome Kees". |

All falls have been moved to the aft part of the cabin roof so they can be accessible from the cockpit. This makes solo sailing vary easy. I only used one eye in front of the mast with two double blocks. |

New wood on the aft bench and the center footrail in the cockpit. This has now been outfitted with hardwood and impregnated with boiled linseed oil, the old fashioned seamans way. |

New hatch to the cabin entrance. Made from compact plate ( Polyester ) on the outside and wood on the inside. The design is the same as the old, wood one. The picture shows I still have to renew the supports on each side. |
