The show-off spot for all members!
This is where contributions from members are shown. Photos of members boats, ideas about design and implementation of additions or improvements to the Sheriff 600.

The idea with this page is both to have "articles" on Sheriff 600 issues, but also to make it possible for members to have "their own page", with own content if you click on the image below.

Right now, all presented thumbnail images have got pages behind them, even if that in some instances are "only" bigger versions of the thumbnail image. But there are also pages with ample content.

The webmaster handles the layout of the pages and will create the HTML behind them. This is because some common things are needed, like the background image and the font and size of the headline, but otherwise it is up to the member!

A bigger Sheriff??

After the long and ongoing discussion about "a big Sheriff", Jean-Pierre Bianchi from Lugano pointed out in our Forum 2001-04-04 that there actually IS "a big Sheriff". It is, though, called "Calife 23". It is also designed by Philippe Harlé and is 6.8 metres long. This is of course the reason for the "23" (foot) in Calife 23. So far I have not come up with any better information than what Jean-Pierre gave us in the Forum. One of those is the danish site that has been on our Link-list for quite some time now, the other URL links us to a German site for used boats.
Calife 23 Franck Audebrand in France managed to find a photo of a Calife 23 on the net in 2001-04-08, and he sent it along. Isn't it VERY obvious that this IS a Sheriff? Or is Sheriff 600 a little brother to Calife 23?
This is a photo of a Calife 23 owned by Gilles Cador from France. Unfortunately, the mail address to Gilles Cador was lost in a disk crash. Gilles Cador's Calife 23

A SMALLER Sheriff??

In February 2008, JP Dijkstra in Holland (Member # 56) was out looking for Sheriff 600-spare parts on the net. But he found a boat with the name "Jouët 18", strangely similar to a Sheriff 600, but smaller. The boat is manufactured in 1979, which is the year after the last Sheriff 600 was made. Johan passed on some photos of the boat, and you can see them below. Obviously, the design ideas developed for the Sheriff series were too good to be scrapped.
Jouët 18 image 1 Looking at this boat from behind, you may see that there is a cut-out in the stern to make it easier to get in or out of the boat. The mount for the motor seems to be the same as for the Sheriff 600. And 18 foot does not make the Jouët 18 VERY MUCH smaller than the Sheriff 600. 18 foot is close to 6 meters, Sheriff 600 is 20 foot long, which is aboout 6,3 meters.
This photo gives a closer look of the boats layout. Here it is obvious that the boat is smaller in appearance. Still, it is claimed to host four beds. Jouët 18 photo # 2
Jouët 18 Photo # 3 Even though most of the boat is hidden by the launching crane, something important may be gained from it: The keel has no bulb and must because of this be much lighter than the keel of the Sheriff 600.

Still, We will continue to supply the page with the somewhat different sailboat Jouët 680, also manufactured by Yachting France some 25-30 years ago.
